Mr. Zaheer Ahmed
Mr. Ahmed is a permanent faculty member at SS-CARE. He has more than 16 years of teaching and industry experience. His areas of expertise are embedded systems, industrial control applications, ASIC design and software development. He has authored/co-authored 12 referred papers.
Educational Qualifications
M.S.
in Computer Engineering from National University of Sciences and
Technology,
Rawalpindi. Post Graduation in Nuclear Power Plant Technology
from KINPOE (defunct KNPTC)
B.E. in Electronics Engineering, NED University, Karachi
Work Experience
Mr. Ahmed has a work experience of more than a decade in public sector organizations like PAEC, Shaheen Foundation and has been working in private sector for more than three years in CETP (Communications Enabling Technologies) and CARE. His accomplishments are in the fields of real time I/O Interfaces and data communications, micro controller and PLC based design for industrial control applications. He was a part of the team engaged in the system integration of Full Scope Training Simulator of Nuclear Power Plant Control Room, both in Pakistan and SNERDI, Shanghai, China. At Enabling Technologies, Mr. Ahmed was involved in the design and implementation of the VoIP stack including H.323, SIP, and RTP protocols. His experience in ASIC design includes packet processor and crypto processor design and development. Migratable Videophone was another challenging job completed for Docomo, US at CETP. Presently he has been involved in the design/development of secure phone and fax. His teaching experience as a visiting faculty member spans over five years in a number of public/private sector institutions both at undergraduate and Master's level.
