Mr.
Sheikh Muhammad Farhan
Sheikh Muhammad Farhan is a permanent faculty member at SS-CARE and he has broad teaching and industry experience. His areas of specialization are Digital System Design, DSP Algorithms, Telecommunication Systems and Quality Assurance. He has published several conference papers so far.
Educational Qualifications
M.Sc. in Computer Engineering and B.E. in Electrical Engineering
from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST),
Rawalpindi.
Work Experience
Mr. Farhan has over 6 years of industry experience. Prior to joining SS-CARE, he served at Communications Enabling Technologies (CET), an R&D center of a US based company, Avaz Networks Inc. He was among the pioneers in establishing CET in Pakistan. Mr. Farhan has held various managerial positions in his career and led his team on various projects. He has delivered projects for various companies like Nortel Networks, PTCL, PMO, AWC and many others. At CET, he setup Testing/Verification Department and headed the team for the testing and verification of VoIP applications for 256 Channels Media Processor, designed and developed at CET, Automatic Call Distribution System, Gateways, Soft Phones (SIP, MEGACO), Call Generators, RTP. SNMP, Call Agents (NCS, H.323, MGCP), SIP Proxy and QoS. Mr. Farhan has extensive experience of working on sophisticated test equipments like QARobot, Telegra Internet Advisor, Hammer Load Blaster, Voice Quality Servers and Channel Banks. He also lead the team
for successful installation and commissioning of Automatic Call Distribution System based on the same Media Processor, in PTCL 17-enquiry exchange in Peshawar, Pakistan. He has four years of teaching experience as a visiting faculty at College of E&ME (NUST), Army Public College of Management Sciences(Rawalpindi), and SS-CARE.
